It is very common for content creators to collaborate on editing a video for a demo. To continue editing a video that a teammate has been working on requires a file known as a .somrec file.
To get the .somrec file users will need to export a particular video from Screencast-O-Matic.
Click on 'Manage Recordings' and a menu will appear.
Click on 'Export.' Then save the file to a folder location.
Now you will want to put the file in a location that can be accessed by the rest of your team, perhaps Google Drive or Dropbox. With the file in hand, the user will import it into the content manager.
The video will show up in the list of available videos. They now have access to your video and all of its edits including overlays, images, etc. Please note that the new edits that take place will not show up in the video for the original editor, the second editor will need to start from the beginning of these steps exporting the .somrec file for the original editor to import. When finished export the .MP4 and upload it into your Consensus Demo.
