In this article we will review the different settings needed for the SFDC Consensus Integration to work properly for your Users. This will review needed profile access for Admin, Sales, & Marketing Users.
Once you have set up the Consensus Salesforce Integration, you may need to make sure your Users Profiles have the needed permissions to be able to work with the Consensus Plugin. Below we will review the different Profile needs based on User Types.
Profiles
Admin profile
- Click on Gear icon and select “Setup” option.
- On “Quick search” field type “Profiles” and click on it lower.
- Click on “New” button.
- Select “Existing Profile” (we recommend selecting Standard User), type “Profile Name” and click “Save” button.
- Click on “Edit” button.
- Go to “Administrative Permissions” section and enable:
- Author Apex
- Customize Application
- View All Custom Settings
NOTE: If with enabling any setting another setting was enabled – it’s okay.
- Go to “General User Permissions” section and enable:
- Create AppExchange Packages
- Download AppExchange Packages
- Upload AppExchange Packages
NOTE: If with enabling any setting another setting was enabled – it’s okay.
- Click on “Save” button.
- The Admin profile is now ready.
Sales Standard User profile (Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities tabs will be available)
- Click on Gear icon and select “Setup” option.
- On “Quick search” field type “Profiles” and click on it lower.
- Find profile which you want to customize. Click on its label.
NOTE: If you need to add new profile click on “New” button. (See 3-4 steps on Admin profile section)
- Click on “Edit” button.
- Go to “Custom App Settings” section and disable everything except:
- Consensus (Consensus_ Consensus_Lightning)
- Note* In this example Consensus Lightning is marked as Default.

- Consensus (Consensus_ Consensus_Lightning)
- Go to “Tab settings” section and disable everything except:
- Standard Tab Settings
- Set “Default On” for next tabs:
- Accounts
- Contacts
- Opportunities
- Set “Default On” for next tabs:

- Go to “Administrative Permissions” section and disable everything except:
- Lightning Experience User (set on if you want to switch between Classic and Lightning)
- Lightning Experience User (set on if you want to switch between Classic and Lightning)
- Go to “General User Permissions” section and disable everything except:
- Create and Customize Reports
- Edit Tasks
- Export Reports
- Run Reports
NOTE: If user need to Convert Lead see “Convert Leads” section.
- Go to “Standard Object Permissions” and disable everything except:
- Set “Read, Create, Edit” for next objects:
- Accounts
- Contacts
- Opportunities
- Set “Read” for next objects:
- Lead
- Lead
- Set “Read, Create, Edit” for next objects:
- Go to “Custom Object Permissions” and disable everything except:
- Set “Read, Create, Edit, Delete” for next objects:
- cDemos
- cFeature
- cInvitations
- cViews
- Set “Read, Create, Edit, Delete” for next objects:
- Click on “Save” button to save changes and go to “Field-Level Security” section.
- Find “Contact” and click on “View” button.
- Click on “Edit” button.
- On this page activate next field names:
- Click “Save” button and then “Back to Profile” button.
- Same steps (12-15) should be done for next objects:
- Account
- Task
- Custom objects (See “Custom objects” section)
- Account
Marketing Standard User profile (Leads tab only will be available)

Convert Leads
If some role needs to convert Lead than follow these steps.
- Go to “General User Permissions” section.
- Enable “Convert Leads” option.
- Click on “Save” button.
