We'll review the main differences between the two default Sales Roles found within the Consensus Platform.
There are two default "Sales" roles found within Consensus. Both of these roles (Sales; Sales SNAP Creator) allow Sales Reps to create DemoBoards, track the DemoBoards they've sent, create Mail Merge Links, and give them access to Consensus SNAP™.
The main difference between these two roles is found within their demo creation capabilities. The "Sales" role does not have the ability to create their own personalized Single Video Demos, whereas the "Sales SNAP Creator" role does.
The main differences are highlighted below:
-
Manage Demos:
- Sales: Will have access to Manage Demos but will not be able to create Single Video Demos, nor will they be able to edit any existing demos:
- Sales SNAP Creator: Will have access to Manage Demos along with the ability to edit any Single Video Demo they've created.

We believe all Sales Reps should have the ability to create content within their respective roles. However, we know this is something that differs by company. If your company allows reps to create their own customized content, then we'd recommend assigning the role of 'Sales SNAP Creator'.
If you need to restrict what's being sent to your prospects, then the 'Sales' role would work best for you. The benefit you have within Consensus is the ability to assign some members with this system permission while restricting others.
