Consensus onboarding checklist

A pragmatic onboarding sequence for new users. Each section maps to a specific task in the platform — work through them in order and you'll be fully operational within a week.

Account-level setup (admin tasks)

  • Configure Global Demo Settings — set Internal Email Domains, choose Privacy & Security defaults, configure the Global Demo Footer.
  • Set up Manage Users & Access — add users, build your Group hierarchy, assign Roles.
  • Configure Lead Capture Forms for your Public Links.
  • Set up Theme Management (if you're using Demo Themes — currently Early Access).
  • Configure Tag Management to organize your demo library.
  • Customize Email Templates with your brand and copy.

User-level setup

  • Complete your My Profile (contact info, time zone, date format).
  • Record your Default Personal Intro Video (PIV).
  • Heart your most-used demos to add them to Favorites.

First demo creation

  • Pick a demo type that matches your use case (Single Experience for one fixed walkthrough; Standard Personalization for feature-rated demos; Discovery for branching paths).
  • Walk through the Demo Wizard end-to-end (Steps 1-6).
  • Publish the demo so others on your team can use it.

First send

  • Send a Test DemoBoard to yourself first to feel the viewer experience.
  • Send a real DemoBoard to a real prospect using the Image Link CTA.

First analytics review

  • Open Analytics → DemoBoards Demolytics.
  • Review engagement data on your test and live DemoBoards.
  • Set up the recommended filters (exclude Internal Domains and Test DemoBoards).

Integrations (if applicable)

  • Configure Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, Gmail, Outlook, or other integrations relevant to your workflow.
  • Set up SSO if your org uses Okta, Azure, or another identity provider.
