September 2026 Consensus Release Notes

This document describes the functionality released on September 10, 2026.

Included in this Release:

Discovery Demo Builder AI

What is it?

Discovery Demo Builder AI turns a turns your prompt into a structured demo, built from the highest-performing content already in your library. Tell it what you’re building and who it’s for, and it selects the right video demos and tours for each audience, sequences them into a proven structure, and explains every choice it makes.

  • Instead of hoping a buyer reads the whole thing, help them find the part that matters most to them
  • Collect actual buyer signals and zero-party data while they're most engaged
  • Turn your existing content into an agent: educating, qualifying and delighting buyers automatically

Benefits

  • Eliminates the blank canvas. A prompt and a short conversation produce a complete, structured demo instead of a blank editor.
  • Surfaces your best content. Buyers see the content that has actually resonated with similar audiences, not just what was uploaded most recently.
  • Explains every choice. Each recommended asset carries a confidence rating and a plain-language explanation of why it was chosen.
  • Flags content gaps. If your library is thin for a persona, Discovery Demo Builder AI tells you instead of quietly filling the slot with weaker content.
  • Stays editable. Swap any asset, request a tour instead of a video (or vice versa), or edit the demo directly at any point.

Set up

No setup required, as long as AI is enabled for your organization.

How to use

  1. Open the discovery demo builder canvas.
  2. Tell the AI what you’re building and who it’s for — choose from Executive, Manager, End User, IT Lead, or Something Else, or describe your audience in your own words.
  3. Answer the follow-up questions on what each persona cares about, or what problem you solve for them.
  4. Review the generated demo. Each asset shows a confidence rating and an explanation for why it was recommended.
  5. Adjust anything you’d like — swap formats, choose an alternative from the sidebar, or edit directly.
  6. Publish, then leave a thumbs up or down to help improve future recommendations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the AI decide which content to recommend?

A: Two signals: how well the content matches the audience you described, and how that content has performed with buyers over a rolling 30-day engagement window.

Q: What if the AI recommends content I don’t want?

A: Change it. Every recommendation is editable, each one includes two to three alternatives in the sidebar, and you can ask the AI to swap between a video and a tour for any slot.

Q: Does it create new content?

A: No. It recommends from the content already in your library.

Q: Can I still build a discovery demo manually?

A: Yes. Discovery Demo Builder AI is an option, not a replacement.

Q: Are there any current limitations?

A: Dynamic tours aren’t yet included in recommendations, and demos can’t be started from Slack. Low-confidence content is never surfaced, and structure is currently limited to a set of proven demo templates.

Buyer Behavior Data [Beta]

What is it?

Buyer Behavior Data translates raw viewer activity into readable engagement signals, so you can see not just whether a demo was viewed, but how. Beta testing is rolling out this September.

What’s included

At the individual viewer level:

  • Demo Focus — focused viewing time and percentage, mouse movement pattern, and tab switches
  • Demo Completion — whether the viewer reached the end, total time spent, and where they dropped off if they didn’t finish
  • Form Interactions — a field-by-field breakdown of fill status, time to fill, and hesitation
  • CTA Interactions — click and hover counts per CTA, plus overall engagement rate

At the aggregate level, across every viewer of a Public Link or Demoboard: average completion rate, most common drop-off point, most frequently skipped form fields, CTA performance ranked by hover-to-click conversion, and average viewer focus.

Benefits

  • Know which leads are actually engaged before spending time on outreach, not just who opened a link.
  • Get a starting point for your follow-up conversation instead of guessing what a buyer cared about.
  • Spot demo-wide problems, like a common drop-off point, an ignored CTA, or a confusing form field, across every viewer of a Public Link or Demoboard.

Set up

You must enroll in the beta to use this capability. You can also learn more about this feature here.

Public Link Optimization for AI Engines (releasing September 17)

What is it?

Buyer behavior is shifting from website browsing to AI search. Because Consensus demos are served as iframe embeds, AI and LLM engines have historically struggled to see what’s inside them, making it harder for AI tools to reference your demos when buyers research your product. Public Link Optimization for AI Engines (GEO) fixes that by adding structured data that AI engines can read and quote.

Benefits

  • Demo content becomes discoverable and citable by AI search tools, not just traditional search crawlers.
  • No technical setup: structured data ships automatically with your existing embed code, on both basic and advanced embeds.
  • Stay ahead of a channel shift before it shows up in your own traffic data.

Set up

No setup required. This is configured by default for every Public Link.

How to use

  1. Open the Embed code tab in the Share As modal.
  2. Scroll to the GEO Optimization section.
  3. The GEO toggle is on by default. Turn it off if you don’t want to include structured data for AI/LLM engines.
  4. Expand “Preview structured data” to see what will ship (view-only).
  5. Copy the iframe or snippet — structured data is included automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is GEO?

A: GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization, the AI-search equivalent of SEO. It makes demo content discoverable and quotable by AI tools.

Q: Do I need to do anything to set this up?

A: No. GEO is on by default on the Embed code tab.

Simulations, Sandbox, and ReachSuite Settings Migrate into Consensus Web App

What is it?

Sandbox tours, simulations, and ReachSuite brand settings have migrated from ReachSuite into the Consensus web app.

Who this affects

Primarily admins and content creators.

What to know

  • Sandbox tours and simulations are no longer inside ReachSuite — existing ReachSuite links will redirect to Consensus.
  • Dynamic tour settings are no longer inside ReachSuite — existing links will redirect to Consensus.
  • Simulations and sandbox tours can still only be archived, not permanently deleted.

Multi-Select Persistence Across Pages

What is it?

In the Demo Library (both the Demo Library and My Demos tables), multi-selected rows now persist as you navigate between pages.

Benefits

Previously, moving to another page reset all selected rows, making it impossible to apply bulk actions across multiple pages. Now your selections stay intact as you paginate, so you can select content across your library before taking action.

Good to know

  • “Select all” only selects rows on the current page — selecting your entire result set at once isn’t supported.
  • Your selection clears when you switch between Demo Library tabs (for example, moving from Demo Library to My Demos, Favorites, or Promoted Content).

Improved Engagement Attribution

What's new: DemoBoards now capture and persist the exact Salesforce Lead/Contact ID at creation — whether the DemoBoard is created directly from within Salesforce, or created in the web app with an Opportunity assigned — and use that ID (instead of email) to relate the DemoBoard back to the correct record.

Problem solved: Salesforce allows duplicate emails across multiple Lead/Contact records, so email-based matching alone can't tell which record a rep meant — leading to DemoBoards getting linked to the wrong Lead or Contact.

Key benefits: Reps get reliable engagement visibility on the exact record they're working, even in orgs with duplicate emails; existing email-based matching still applies as a fallback when no object ID is captured, so there's no regression for the non-duplicate case.

Use external Demo Title for DemoBoard name

What's new
When the DemoBoard name is created automatically, it now uses the “External Title” of the Demo.

Problem solved
Many customers turn off the DemoBoard name required field. By doing so the DemoBoard name is created automatically, using the Demo Title that’s set in the first step of the Demo creation wizard. Until now, the internal Demo Title was used, which was wrong. Instead we should use the external Title, which is intended for prospect-facing and externally shared content.

Key benefits

  • External-facing content now reflects the correct, customer-appropriate demo title
  • Reduces confusion or accidental exposure of internal naming conventions in prospect-facing tools
  • Fallback logic (external title → internal title) ensures a title always displays, with no broken or blank names

Improving the Design for DemoBoard Playlists (releasing later in September)

What's New

  • A YouTube-style playlist experience, now on a single tab — buyers browse and select without leaving the main view.
  • A Details View that keeps the feature/content list visible, so buyers can jump between topics within the demo they're currently watching.
  • Stronger auto-play forcing functions that carry buyers into the next demo in the playlist automatically.

Problem Solved
Buyers weren't visiting the All Demos tab when a DemoBoard had a playlist queued up. That meant lower view rates and steep drop-off after the first demo — buyers watched one video and stopped, never realizing more content was one click away.

Key Benefits

  • Buyers stay in the flow — no tab-switching required to see what's next or explore feature details.
  • Auto-play removes the decision point that was causing drop-off, extending average session watch time.
  • More of the buying group sees the full playlist, not just the first video, giving reps a fuller picture of engagement.

Improved Quick Action Overlay on Track DemoBoards (releasing September 4)

What's New

  • Four quick action buttons now appear directly on each row in Track DemoBoards: Analytics, Share, Edit DemoBoard, and BuyerBoard.
  • Icons have been redesigned to make each action's purpose immediately clear at a glance.

Problem Solved
Sharing and editing a DemoBoard — the two most frequent actions outside of checking analytics — required extra clicks to reach. Sales users had to dig for the actions they used most, slowing down their day-to-day workflow.

Key Benefits

  • One-click access to the four most common actions, right from the Track DemoBoards table.
  • Clearer iconography means less guesswork and fewer misclicks for sales users moving fast.

Interactive Heatmap Video Timeline

What's New

  • Heatmap timelines on video analytics pages are now clickable — select any hotspot to open a modal showing exactly where in the video that engagement happened.
  • The modal plays the video with the heatmap overlaid directly on the scrub bar, so reps can watch alongside the engagement data in real time.
  • Duration and completion percentage are shown at the top of the modal for immediate context.

Problem Solved
Video heatmaps were static — a colored strip showing rewatch intensity, with no way to see what content actually drove it. Reps could see that a section got rewatched, but not why, leaving them to guess what resonated with the buyer.

Key Benefits

  • Reps go straight from a hotspot to the exact moment in the video, no scrubbing or guesswork required.
  • Rewatched sections reveal real buyer intent — objections, feature interest, pricing concerns — that reps can address directly in follow-up.
  • Faster prep for next-step calls: a rep can scan hotspots and know what to lead with in under a minute.
