Tagging - Tag Admin and Tag Assignment

Tag your demos and folders for fast discovery

Tags are reusable labels you attach to demos and folders to make them searchable and filterable. Combine tags to narrow your view — e.g. show me "product=Cloud" + "audience=Executive" + "language=English." Tags work in the Demo Library, Create DemoBoard, and Create Public Link pages.

Permissions overview

  • Who can see tags — every user in your organization.
  • Who can create tags — Admins and users with the Tag Admin permission. Custom roles can be granted Tag Admin via Settings → Manage Users & Access → Roles & Permissions → Add Role → Access → Admin → Tag Admin.
  • Who can assign tags — by default: Admin, Content Manager, Content Creator, Reseller Content Manager. Add the Tag Assignment permission to a custom role via Roles & Permissions → Add Role → Access → Demos → Tag Assignment.

Manage tags

Admin users access Tag Management at Settings → Global Demo Settings → Tag Management.

Create a new tag

  • Click Create Tag +.
  • Enter a Tag Name and Description.
  • Click Save.

Tag name rules

  • Allowed: letters (a-z, A-Z), numbers (0-9), hyphens (-), underscores (_), and spaces.
  • Maximum 50 characters.
  • Tag names are unique — you can't have two tags with the same name.
  • Each demo can use up to 10 tags.

Edit or delete a tag

  • In the Tag Management table, click the pencil icon to open the Edit Tag modal.
  • Click the trash icon to delete. Deletion requires confirmation. Once confirmed, the tag is removed from every demo and folder that had it.

Assign tags to demos and folders

From the Demo Library

  • Hover the demo or folder row, click the … menu in the Actions column, choose Edit Tags.
  • In the Tags modal, pick from your organization's tag list. Use the search field to find a tag quickly.
  • Click X on a tag to remove it.
  • Save. The Tags column in the Demo Library shows the tag count; hover the icon to see all tags assigned.

From the Demo Wizard

On Step 6 of demo creation or editing, find the Demo Tags section. Search for and add tags from the dropdown, or X out tags you no longer want.

Search and filter by tags

Filter by tag on:

  • Demo Library
  • Create DemoBoard
  • Create Public Link

In each, type into the Tags search field and select tags to filter. X out a tag filter to remove it.

Tags in reports

A Tags column appears in the Demo Library report and the Full Demo report, showing exactly which tags are assigned to each demo for downstream analysis.
