What does CONSENSUS consider a view?
What counts as a view?
In Consensus, a view is recorded the moment a viewer starts watching a demo. It doesn't matter whether they finish the entire demo, watch every feature, or stop a few seconds into the intro — any of those count as a single view.
What a view is
- A viewer starts the intro video.
- A viewer rates a feature in a Standard Demo (which triggers playback).
- A viewer opens a single experience demo and the video starts.
What a view isn't
- Opening the DemoBoard cover page without starting any video — that's a "DemoBoard view," not a demo view.
- Re-watching the same demo on the same DemoBoard counts as additional views, one per playback session.
- Personal Intro Video (PIV) playback time — that's tracked separately and excluded from demo Demolytics.
Where to find total views
Total views for a demo show in Demolytics → Summary Demolytics. Pick the demo (or demos) you want, set a date range, and the Total Views figure aggregates across both DemoBoards (sales) and Public Links (marketing).

Demolytics Summary is reachable from Analytics in the left-hand sidebar.
Note: the screenshot above is a placeholder for the Demolytics Summary view — Roy's capture pass covered Track DemoBoards but not the analytics Summary tab close-up. Recommend adding a clean screenshot of the Summary Demolytics page on the next webapp pass.
How filters affect view counts
View counts in Demolytics respect the filters you have applied. By default, Internal Email Domains and Test DemoBoards are excluded — so the number you see is "external, real-world" views unless you explicitly include those categories. See "How to Filter Your Demolytics" for the filter controls.
