Third Party Lead Forms for Hubspot and Marketo

What is it?
Third-Party Lead Forms allow you to render your existing HubSpot or Marketo forms directly into Consensus demos via a simple script embed flow.

Instead of rebuilding native forms from scratch, Consensus automatically parses your copied embed script, prefills the necessary configuration details (such as Portal ID, Form ID, and Region for HubSpot; or Base URL, Munchkin ID, and Form ID for Marketo), and lets you preview the form live before saving. Once configured, your external forms appear alongside native Consensus forms and can be attached to any Public Link.

Benefits

  • Zero Rebuilding: Reuse your highest-performing, battle-tested HubSpot and Marketo forms instantly without duplicating efforts.
  • Legal & Brand Compliance: Keep pre-approved consent checkboxes, privacy policy disclaimers, and legal language intact exactly as your team designed them.
  • Proven Performance: Apply your team's A/B-tested form configurations directly to your demo experiences.
  • Consistent Buyer Experience: Maintain a unified visual identity and user interface for your buyers across every touchpoint.

Set up

  1. Copy the Embed Script: In your HubSpot or Marketo account, navigate to your desired form and copy the embed script.
  2. Navigate to Consensus Settings: In Consensus, go to Settings → Global Demo Settings → Public Links Lead Forms.
  3. Add the External Form: Click Add Lead Capture Form → Embed External Lead Form.
  4. Paste & Preview: Name your form and paste the embed script into the field. Consensus will auto-populate the configuration details. Preview the form to ensure everything looks correct, then click Save.

How to Use
When creating or editing any Public Link, simply open the lead gate form selector and choose your configured external HubSpot or Marketo form.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does this require an active HubSpot or Marketo integration with Consensus?
A: Yes, an active integration must be in place before external forms can be used.

Q: How is data submitted and stored when using external forms?
A: Form submissions occur directly on your Marketing Automation Platform (MAP) side, sending full viewer responses straight into HubSpot or Marketo. Consensus only captures the lead's email address to create and associate the corresponding Lead record in Consensus.

Q: Is using external forms going to impact my Consensus integrations?
A:

  • For Marketo users: Your Consensus <> Marketo integration will continue to work as designed.
  • For HubSpot users: We recommend joining the Native HubSpot integration beta program, as external HubSpot forms work best with the native integration.

Q: Are multi-page or multi-step forms supported?
A: Currently, only single-page external forms are supported.

Anonymous View Tracking

What is it?

The updated Anonymous View Tracking functionality groups multiple views from the same person together into a single, cohesive viewer record.

Instead of seeing an inflated count of disconnected views, you can now see data organized by individual Anonymous Viewers. Within this view, you can explore every session recorded for that person via the Heatmaps page. Better yet, if an anonymous viewer eventually submits a lead form, their past anonymous activity automatically links to their new Lead record—giving you a complete, end-to-end look at their buyer journey.

Benefits

  • See True Demo Reach: One prospect reviewing a demo five times no longer inflates your numbers to five views. They are grouped as one viewer, ensuring your reach metrics reflect actual people.
  • Person-Centric Analytics: Base your nurture strategies and follow-up decisions on an individual's complete engagement history, rather than stitching together isolated sessions.
  • Seamless Lead Journey Tracking: When an anonymous viewer fills out a lead form, their historical engagement is instantly connected to their new Lead record, carrying forward full context from first touch to conversion.

Set Up:

Ensure the setting "Track User Contact Data With a Cookie" is enabled in your account.

How to Use:

  1. View Anonymous Viewers: Navigate to any Public Link and scroll down on the Public Link Details page to the Anonymous Viewers table.
  2. Review Individual Engagement: See each viewer's unique ID, their total view count, and a direct link to their Lead record if they eventually completed a form.
  3. Explore Session Heatmaps: Click the Analytics icon on a viewer row to jump directly to the Heatmaps page.
    1. Filter through individual sessions listed chronologically (newest first) to see full engagement data.
    2. If the prospect converted, toggle easily between their known and anonymous sessions.
  4. Investigate From the Leads Page: When reviewing a lead directly from the Leads page, use the new top-level pickers on the Heatmaps page to toggle between different Public Links and specific Sessions to see exactly which demos drove them into your pipeline.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What happens to a prospect's anonymous data once they fill out a lead form?

A: Their historical anonymous sessions remain saved and are retroactively connected to their newly created Lead record. You can switch between their pre-conversion anonymous sessions and post-conversion known sessions seamlessly inside Heatmaps.

Q: Why do I see dropdown pickers for links when viewing Heatmaps from the Leads page?

A: When starting from a lead record, a prospect may have engaged with multiple public links. The link and session pickers allow you to quickly pivot between different demos to see every touchpoint that contributed to their decision to convert.

Multi-Select Public Links

Multi-Select Public Links allows marketers to select multiple Public Links at once from the Track Public Links table to perform bulk actions in a single click.

Instead of manually navigating through links one by one to clear out outdated or inactive content, you can now use multi-select checkboxes to highlight several links simultaneously and either delete or archive them all at once. This streamlined flow eliminates tedious, repetitive tasks, giving your team valuable time back to focus on optimizing campaign performance and buyer engagement.

On-Demand AI Demo Transcripts

On-Demand AI Demo Transcripts introduces a quick, manual trigger to generate AI transcriptions for your videos directly inside the Demo Builder, eliminating the need to wait for automatic processing.

When creating or editing a Single, Standard, or Discovery demo, a new "Trigger Transcription" option will appear next to the video’s Rename menu whenever an eligible video does not yet have a transcript. With a single click, you can initiate transcription instantly so your content is fully transcribed, searchable, and ready to go on your schedule.
