Content Creation Templates for ScreenPal & Camtasia

Getting started with video content is easier with a structure to follow. These templates give you and your team a ready-made starting point for the three videos most demos need: an intro, a standard feature walkthrough, and an advanced feature deep dive. They're available for both ScreenPal and Camtasia.

What's included
  • Intro video template — for welcoming your audience, introducing your product, or setting the stage for the demo. It includes placeholders for visuals and text, plus suggested script openings.
  • Standard feature template — for presenting a key feature clearly and concisely, with sections for the feature description, the benefit to the viewer, supporting proof, and the product walkthrough.
  • Advanced feature template — for going deeper, with room for detailed explanations, use cases, technical specifications, and comparisons, structured so in-depth content stays easy to follow.

Note: ScreenPal and Camtasia work differently, so the options in each version of the templates differ slightly. Choose the version that matches the tool your team uses.

Each demo below walks through the templates for that tool and shows you how to download them:

Make the templates your own

The templates are a starting point, not a script to follow word for word. Once you've downloaded them:

  1. Start with the intro video template, since it sets the tone for the rest of the demo.
  2. Replace the placeholder text and visuals with your own product, branding, and messaging.
  3. Use the standard feature template for each core feature, and keep each video focused on one feature.
  4. Save the advanced feature template for viewers who need more depth, such as technical evaluators.
  5. Upload the finished videos to your demo. You'll know the set works when each video stands on its own and the demo flows from intro to features without repetition.

If you'd like guidance on planning what to say before you record, Recommended Content Creation Guidelines is a good companion to these templates.
