Left-Hand Navigation Redesign

What Is It?

We've redesigned and renamed key navigation elements in the Consensus platform to make it easier for new and existing users to understand and access the platform's core features from day one. Key changes include clearer menu item naming, streamlined sharing workflows, and general visual updates.

Benefits

  • Faster onboarding and adoption - Get new team members productive immediately with intuitive, self-explanatory labels that reduce training time and eliminate confusion about where to find key features
  • Improved user experience - Enjoy a cleaner, more modern interface with consistent naming that matches how you actually work and visual improvements like enhanced hover states and menus
  • Discover more value faster - Understand the full scope of Consensus capabilities at a glance with clearer categorization, helping you spend less time learning the platform and more time engaging your buyers

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will my existing DemoBoards, demos, or data be affected by these changes?
A: No. This update only changes the names and organization of navigation elements. All your existing content, links, analytics data, and integrations will continue to work exactly as before.

Q: Do I need to update any of my saved links or bookmarks?
A: Your existing bookmarks and saved links will continue to work. However, you may want to update your bookmarks to reflect the new page names for easier reference.

Q: Will this affect any documentation, training materials, or knowledge base articles I've created?
A: While your internal materials will still be technically accurate, you may want to update screenshots and references to match the new navigation terms. We're updating all official Consensus documentation and knowledge base articles to reflect the changes.

Search by Tags

What Is It?

We've enhanced the Demo Library with powerful tag-based search and improved filter visibility to help you find the right demo faster. You can now search for demos directly by tags with auto-suggestions as you type, and see your active filters displayed as chips right next to the search bar for quick reference and easy removal. This enhancement is especially valuable for teams managing large demo libraries, eliminating the need for multiple search attempts or workarounds like embedding tags in demo titles.

Benefits

  • Finding demos in large libraries quickly without scrolling: Tag-based search eliminates the need to manually browse through extensive demo lists, saving time especially as demo libraries scale to dozens or hundreds of demos.
  • Combining multiple filters to narrow results: Users can apply multiple tag filters simultaneously to precisely locate relevant demos matching their exact criteria.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will this work with my existing tags, or do I need to create new ones?

A: Tag search works with all your existing tags—no setup required. The auto-suggestions will show tags that already exist in your demo library as you type.

Q: Can I search by multiple tags at once?

A: Yes. You can select multiple tags from the suggestions dropdown, and your demo results will be filtered to show only demos that match your selected tags.

Get Started

To set up:

No setup necessary. This feature is enabled by default for all customers.

To use:

Finding Demos by Tags:

  1. Navigate to Demo Library or My Demos
  2. Click the search bar and start typing a tag name

AI Tag Suggestions

What Is It?

We've introduced AI-powered tag suggestions in the Tag Admin interface to help you organize and categorize your demos more consistently and faster. When creating or editing tags in Global Demo Settings, the AI analyzes your demo content (including titles, descriptions, tour titles, transcripts, and folder names) to automatically suggest relevant tags that match your content and existing tagging patterns. You can accept, modify, or reject suggestions with a single click, reducing manual tagging time while keeping your demo library organized with consistent naming conventions. This intelligent assistance helps you discover patterns in your content you might not have noticed and makes it easier for your team to find the right demos when they need them.

Benefits

  • Easier tag management with AI suggestions: AI Tag Recommendations reduces the cognitive load on admins by suggesting relevant tags based on existing tag structure, making the tag creation process more intuitive and streamlined.
  • Consistent tagging across the library: AI suggestions enforce consistent naming conventions and tag structure, eliminating vague or poorly-named tags that create confusion and reduce discoverability for end users.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How accurate are the AI suggestions?

A: AI suggestions are based on your existing tag structure and are designed to maintain consistency with your current tagging conventions. We recommend reviewing the suggestions to ensure they align with your tagging strategy.

Q: Will this affect my existing tags?

A: No, this feature only provides suggestions for new tags you create. Your existing tags remain unchanged and are not affected by AI Tag Recommendations.

Q: How often do the suggestions update?

A: AI suggestions are based on your current tag structure and are periodically refreshed when new tags are added to the system. This ensures suggestions remain relevant as your tagging system evolves.

Consensus Homepage Dashboard

What Is It?

We're transforming your Consensus homepage into a flexible, customizable dashboard that you can personalize to surface the information that matters most to you and your team. The Dashboard Canvas is the foundational framework that enables you to add, remove, resize, and rearrange dashboard widgets to create a workspace tailored to your specific needs and workflows. You can drag and drop widgets to reorganize your layout, resize them to emphasize what's most important, and the canvas automatically adapts to different screen sizes without constant manual adjustments. Admins can also configure certain widgets as mandatory to ensure critical metrics remain visible across all user dashboards, while still allowing individual users to customize everything else to match their unique responsibilities and priorities.

Benefits

  • Immediate Value on Login: Instead of landing on a static page, users now see real performance data the moment they log in, eliminating the need to navigate through multiple pages to understand their core activity/metrics.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Instantly identify trends using 30-day metrics and trend indicators. You can also benchmark your personal performance against team results.

  • Time Savings: Easier and faster access to share your most-used demos is now available directly through the Sharing widget, streamlining your core workflows.

  • Foundation for Growth: This Phase 1 release is the beginning of an evolving "sherpa" experience that will progressively guide users to their next most valuable action, accelerate time-to-value, and become the central "cockpit" for all user roles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I customize which metrics display on my dashboard?

A: In Phase 1, Yes you can customize your dashboard to display or not display certain types and individual widgets.  Additional customization is coming in Phase 2-3 as we build out the canvas technology that powers personalized dashboards.

Q: What time period do the metrics cover?

A: Phase 1 displays the last 30 days by default. You can choose options for 7-day and 90-day views as well.

Q: What's the difference between "My metrics" and "Group Metrics"?

A: "My metrics" shows your individual demoboard data. "Group Metrics" shows aggregated data for your entire team/group, allowing you to benchmark your performance and see team-wide trends.

Q: Can I export this data or create reports?

A: In Phase 1, you can screenshot the dashboard for sharing. Future phases will add export capabilities and deeper reporting features.

Q: I'm a Marketing user - is this dashboard relevant for me?

A: Phase 1 is optimized for Sales users. Marketing-specific metrics and widgets are coming in future phases as part of role-based dashboard templates.

Account Settings Design Improvement

What Is It?

We've redesigned and reorganized the Account Settings page (now called DemoBoard Settings) in Global Demo Settings to make it easier to configure and understand how your DemoBoards display to viewers. The settings are now logically grouped into clear sections, and we've added helpful dependency indicators that show you with an icon and tooltip when certain settings require other settings to be enabled first. This redesign transforms what was previously a long, unorganized list of settings into an intuitive, well-structured interface that helps you quickly find and configure the settings you need without confusion about which options work together.

Benefits

  • Find settings faster - Logically grouped sections replace a long, unorganized list so you can quickly locate the settings you need without scrolling and searching
  • Improved consistency - Better organized settings make it easier to maintain consistent DemoBoard configurations across your team and ensure all required dependencies are properly set

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will my existing DemoBoard settings be affected by this redesign?

A: No. This is a visual and organizational update only. All your existing settings and configurations will remain exactly as you set them—we've just made them easier to find and understand.

Q: Do I need to reconfigure my settings after this update?

A: No. All your settings remain configured exactly as before. You may just notice they're now organized into logical groups, making them easier to navigate.

Import CRM data to Consensus

What Is It?

We're building the foundation for powerful ROI reporting and AI-powered insights by expanding our Salesforce integration to automatically capture and store additional opportunity and account data. When you connect Salesforce, we'll automatically pull key fields like opportunity amounts, close dates, account industry, company size, and contact information for all opportunities associated with your DemoBoards. This data is synced historically (up to 2 years back) and then updated every 4 hours to keep it current. By capturing this data now, we're laying the groundwork for future capabilities that will enable you to prove ROI directly within Consensus without manual exports or custom API connections, and power smarter AI-driven demo recommendations based on buyer intent, all coming in future releases.

Benefits

  • Foundation for future ROI insights - This integration sets the stage for built-in ROI reporting capabilities that will let you prove Consensus's impact on your sales cycle directly within the platform, without needing to export data or build custom reports.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How will my CRM data be used within Consensus?

A: The synced data is used to power organization-specific demo recommendations and insights. It also serves as the foundation for the upcoming Opportunity Intelligence Hub, which will unify engagement data with your opportunity details.

Q: Will my data be used in an LLM?
A: No, the upcoming recommendation engine is a machine learning model (think: predictive analytics), not a general-purpose LLM like ChatGPT. It doesn't "understand" or "generate" text from CRM data. It uses structured signals (deal stage, engagement history) to predict which action is most likely to help the deal.

Discovery Demo Ambient Background Glow

What Is It?

The Discovery Demo Ambient Background Glow is a visual enhancement that replaces the static black bars often seen when background images don't perfectly fit a viewer's screen. This feature intelligently fills the side and bottom borders with an ambient glow derived from the demo's content, creating a more immersive, modern, and polished viewing experience for buyers. It is fully backwards compatible, meaning the improvement automatically applies to both existing and newly created Discovery Demos without any manual updates required from the builder.

Benefits

  • Immersive Viewing Experience - Replaces the standard thick black bars on the side and bottom of a demo with an intelligent, ambient glow that fills the screen.

Frequently Asked Questions
